Hot food as well as the baklavas are delicious. The men behind the counter are friendly and fast. It's not a huge market but you can find interesting items you can't find at a regular store. Recommend getting the platter especially the lamb.

Came in for the usual groceries and had to pick up a lamb shank plate again haha! The ground beef and lamb are always fresh, and picked up some beef bones for stock. Service is always fast and friendly.

This grocery store also offers delicious cooked food. They have great deals on lamb shank for $15 and half chicken plates for $14. The lamb shank is typically ready in the afternoon. There's metered street parking available, but they also have a small steep parking lot to the left of the market. Be sure to try their fantastic house red sauce with the meats!

Awesome to-go deli section. They cook your meats fresh to order - love the adana kebab, lamb kebab and lamb shank plates. Gotta get the house sauce as well. Mix of Halal and Greek products.

Halal International Market stands out as one of Daly City's and the Bay Area's finest spots for Yemeni and Mediterranean eats. Our experience was a delight from start to finish, highlighted by their exceptional Lamb Shank and flavorful Chicken Shawarma. The Lamb Shank was tender and flavorful, perfectly complemented by a rich sauce that enhanced its taste. Equally impressive was the Chicken Shawarma, expertly seasoned and wrapped in toasty lavash bread and tangy garlic sauce. The staff's attentive service and menu knowledge made our visit memorable and enjoyable. The owner is a funny personable guy, I would highly recommen.

Walking home from BART, I found that all the sudden, this Halal market was open, and it sure was a pleasant find! I ordered the lamb kebab plate. While waiting for my food being cooked and slowly tortured by the sizzling sound of the lamb making me hungry, I can tell this place is a community oriented spot. Everyone here is friendly, and just talking to the gentleman cooking my kebab made time fly with genuine conversation. With the lamb kebab in hand, I marched home to dig in. And to much delight, the lamb as so tender and with gentle seasoning, I have to try their other dishes. I don't think anyone could possibly make a bad order for their cooked meal!

This is the best store in DC. It has fresh meat daily all Halal Quality. Fresh made sides fresh cheese. It has the best imported pasta and delicious spices from the Middle East. Pita Bread and regular groceries too. Also they have food service so you can pick up dinner or lunch and eat outside. Best in the city.

NextDoor has shown me how close to home crazy is. But, I haven't deleted it for two reasons: (1) Lost & Found Pets (2) FOOD! While someone was complaining on ND about seeing posts in the Peninsula. If we didn't have the ability to, I would have never known about Halal International and Greek Market, at the top of the hill Daly City. The name is a bit of misnomer tho since new owners have taken over during covid and it's more of a Middle Eastern Market now. In addition to being a small market and butcher shop (halal meats), they also serve hot food every day from 11 am - 7 pm. M E N U Middle Eastern Cuisine: Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Kebabs, Shawarma (wraps/plates), Chicken Mandi, Lamb Shank and Beef/Lamb Haneeth ($10.99-$19.99). F O O D * Beef Haneeth w/ rice, salad ($19.99): https://tinyurl.com/3ddx9cd7 First time I've seen Beef Haneeth on the menu (they didn't have lamb available) so had to give it a try. It's a Yemeni dish of slow-roasted, bone-in beef served over a bed of rice. Generous portion of meaty beef chunks, a tad dry and not as spiced with aromatics as I expected it to be; seemed to be seasoned with just s&p. But, the rice was flavorful and fluffy with nicely separated grains. The cumin, cardamom, and cinnamon came through with each bite. Portion was enough for two meals. Served with a side of Jerusalem salad of crisp cucumbers, tomato, and parsley, and yogurt sauce. Def ask for a side of zhug! The Yemeni green hot sauce packed a lot of punch and brightened up the plate. S E R V I C E All business. With no line, it took about 10 minutes for my order. A M B I A N C E More of takeout place since it's a market but there's a small counter at the window with several stools if you want to dine-in. P A R K I N G Metered street parking. Overall, if you're looking for affordable and generously portioned Middle Eastern Fare (esp Yemeni dishes), Halal International and Greek Market is a solid option in the area!
